Alloy 42-6 (aka Glass Seal 42-61)
A controlled expansion alloy, consisting of 42% Nickel, 6% Chromium, balance Iron; used in a wide variety of electronic applications, especially for glass seals.
Alloy 42-6 Products
Because Alloy 42-6 is not a commonly used alloy, EFI does not maintain a regular stock of this alloy in the same variety of forms and conditions that we do for the other families of controlled and low expansion alloys. If you require Alloy 42-6, please call us. We may very well have what you are looking for in stock, and if we don’t, we can certainly source it for you.
Applications
Glass to metal seals for a variety of electronic tubes and CRT tubes.
